Textron Aviation selects Ruder Finn as its Media Communications Agency

Beijing, China Textron Aviation Inc., the world’s leading general aviation company and home to the iconic Beechcraft, Cessna and Hawker brands, has appointed Ruder Finn as its PR agency in China. Ruder Finn is charged with providing media communications, event management and strategic counsel for Textron Aviation.
In 2011-2012, Ruder Finn was the PR agency for Hawker Beechcraft. Ruder Finn also provided services for Beechcraft at the 2013 Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE) and China International General Aviation Convention (CIGAC) before its acquisition by Textron Inc. in March this year. In April this year, Ruder Finn provided project-based PR service for Textron Aviation at 2014 ABACE.
This year’s ABACE was Textron Aviation’s debut in China but aircraft manufactured by Cessna and Beechcraft have been operating in China for more than 30 years. Textron Aviation is committed to taking a leadership role in the development of general aviation in China. Since 2003 when the restrictions on private ownership of airplanes were lifted, there has been a strong demand for the further development of general aviation. In China’s 12th Five-Year Plan for 2011 to 2015, it was announced that China would promote the private aviation industry.
