16-17 September 2014, Hong Kong. The 2014 CSR Asia Summit: 10 Years of Business Responsible Solutions attracted over 500 delegates from Asia Pacific. The Summit is recognized as the most innovative and thought-provoking conference on corporate social responsibility in Asia, where business, government and civil society join forces to find sustainable solutions to the region’s most pressing issues. This is the Summit’s eighth year and also CSR Asia’s 10th anniversary. Speakers at the Summit included Lisa Boarders, Chair of The Coca-Cola Foundation (Atlanta, USA) who gave an inspiring keynote address; Philippe Lacamp, Global Head of Sustainability Development at Swire Group; Mark Devadason, Group Head of Sustainability, Corporate Affairs, at Standard Chartered Bank; and Jean-Michel Dumont, Chairman of Ruder Finn Asia. Among other speakers were also representatives from IBM, Pfizer, BASF, Microsoft, and from NGOs Oxfam, UNICEF and Care International.
Key topics discussed covered measuring and managing impact and success, inclusive business and shared values, investing in workplace wellness, customers and investors as well as skills-based volunteering; and business values.
