Ruder Finn expands Central China network through Partnership with China’s S&W Public Relations

Ruder Finn has signed a partnership with S&W Public Relations, China’s largest PR agency in the central provinces especially in Chongqing City and the provinces of Sichuan and Yunnan. Both agencies will combine their specialised expertise and long-term experience in their respective markets to establish a strategic partnership that will benefit the clients of both parties. Ruder Finn will have access to S&W’s knowledge, insights, and resources in 21 cities throughout the western provinces in China, while S&W will have access to Ruder Finn’s global network of offices located in the United States as well as London, Brussels, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Singapore, New Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai.

China’s central provinces have become one of the fastest growing areas since the implementation of the ‘China Go West" strategy in 2000. The region has made great strides and achievements, attracting many investments from multinationals and creating new wealth in the region. With the continuous growth of the 2nd and 3rd tier cities in China as well as the rapid global expansion Chinese companies are experiencing, clients are increasingly interested in agencies’ extensive network and reliable service. This strategic partnership will allow both Ruder Finn and S&W Public Relations meet the evolving needs of Chinese clients.

Ruder Finn and S&W first worked together in 2001 when Glenfiddich extended their projects into Sichuan. The most recent collaboration was Roche’s entry into the central region. The seamless collaboration through the years has proven to be successful for both agencies, which led naturally to the official signing of the partnership.

"S&W is the biggest and one of the most experiences agencies for the western province. I am delighted and privileged to be their partner. The partnership will further strengthen our offerings and allow clients to tap into our combined network and services," Elan Shou, Managing Director & Senior Vice-President, Ruder Finn China, said.

"We are delighted to form this strategic partnership with S&W Public Relations, who is a distinguished agency in the western province of China," said Kathy Bloomgarden, CEO, Ruder Finn. "Forecasts show that the greatest growth in China will come from 2nd and 3rd tier cities and this partnership will provide us with the insights, relationships and market opportunities for our clients, complimenting the work of our offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong."
