Ruder Finn beefs up Public Affairs capabilities in China Grace Chen to head new practice

Beijing. Ruder Finn Asia has appointed Grace Chen to head its new Public Affairs Practice in Beijing. Reporting to Paul Yang, SVP and General Manager of Ruder Finn Beijing, Grace will be responsible for growing existing and new clients in both public affairs and government-related fields, as well as creating infrastructure and shaping competitive business offerings that aim to enable business and communication opportunities for both domestic and international clients. 

Ruder Finn Asia has been active in Public Affairs for a number of years in China, building up experience and expertise in a wide spectrum of industries. The agency has further honed its capability to provide insights based on accurate and timely information, promoting client propositions at all government levels and helping them navigate through China’s complex political landscape. Ruder Finn will assist global companies to address critical issues and sustain sound relationships with stakeholders as they expand in local and regional markets.

Since joining Ruder Finn in May 2015, Grace has helped established a solid service structure for existing Public Affairs clients. Grace brings to Ruder Finn 17 years’ experience in Government Relations, Public Affairs and communications. She started her career with the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has been appointed to various posts, both in China and overseas. During her 12-year service at MFA, she supported, organized and supervised numerous high level exchanges, international events and significant government communication programs. After stepping down as a mid-ranking diplomat, she has served international consultancies and Fortune 500 companies in corporate communication and government affairs.
