Vacheron Constantin and Parmigiani Fleurier, two of the world’s most prestigious Swiss watchmakers, have both retained Ruder Finn as their agency of record after highly competitive pitch processes involving a number of high-profile international agencies. Ruder Finn will lead media strategy and day-to-day communications, as well as consult on overall communications planning across China for both clients.
These appointments follow Ruder Finn’s being selected for another major engagement in February when the Organizing Committee of the Salon International de Haute Horlogerie de Geneve (SIHH) selected the agency to develop and lead all its regional communications across Asia for its world-first exhibition of Haute Horlogerie in Hong Kong: "Watches & Wonders." Ruder Finn is driving the media campaign in nine markets across the Asia Pacific region. Publicly launched in April 2013, the campaign will culminate in a four-day exhibition in September, when more than 700 members of the media will arrive in Hong Kong to experience this unique event. "Watches & Wonders," in partnership with Ruder Finn, will bring Asian watch connoisseurs the most impressive collection of fine timepieces yet displayed in the region.
Adding to its existing portfolio of prestigious luxury and watchmaker brands, the three new additions bolster Ruder Finn’s already broad roster of impressive brand partnerships. Cartier, Longines, Breitling and Piaget are all among the agency’s longest-running watch clients. Last December, Ruder Finn also oversaw the regional development and implementation of the fourth "Masterpieces of Time" (MOT) in Macao. MOT is an exhibition of fine timepieces for consumers, hosted annually by DFS Group, the world’s largest luxury travel retailer and a brand under the Selective Retailing business unit of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.
