Founded in 1987, SMART Technologies is a private company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, with offices in Germany, Japan, China, New York City, Chicago IL and Washington DC. SMART Technologies is both the industry pioneer and market-segment leader in easy-to-use interactive whiteboards and other group collaboration tools. Using SMART products, groups can access and share the information they need to meet, teach, train and present regardless of distance.

Objectives

RFA provided on-site support and pitched one-on-one media interviews for SMART Technologies at the International Conference of Educational Technology (ICET) 2007 and the International Conference on Teaching and Learning with Technology (iCTLT) 2008. Interviews were held with education trade press, beat reporters from national dailies and broadcast media 938FM. A luncheon with education officials from the MOE and NIE was also organized for SMART’s CEO Nancy Knowlton. SMART and RFA continue to work closely with top government contacts and educators to successfully help integrate ICT into Singapore’s education system.
