“Why Hong Kong Matters Today” 2013
Fifteen years after the handover of Hong Kong to China, the role of the Special Administrative Region (SAR) had changed dramatically as a gateway to the mainland. The World Trade Centre Association Hong Kong (WTCA) and Bloomberg Financial Times organized the "Why Hong Kong Matters Now" conference to review the city’s changing role and the way forward. Ruder Finn Asia was the exclusive communications partner of the event.

2nd Annual Global Green Business Summit, Shanghai 2010
Bloomberg BusinessWeek launched the one-day summit to coincide with the Shanghai World Expo. The Summit brought together more than 400 thought leaders, senior government policymakers and top business executives from China and abroad. It focused on new and innovative strategies for sustainability and examined the challenges and opportunities that global sustainable development faces with urbanization, a low-carbon economy and energy conservation in the next five to ten years.

Break Dengue 2015

Ruder Finn was the official partner for Break Dengue, a global partnership of individuals and organizations engaged in the fight against dengue fever. The Dengue Tribe campaign was launched during the annual ASEAN Dengue Day as regional health leaders, experts and ASEAN officials met in Laos. It addressed the growing public health, social and economic burden of dengue. The campaign aimed to collect the faces and voices of individuals and communities globally and in the ASEAN region who are impacted by the disease. It also aimed at making it a public health priority by raising awareness of the disease through community engagement.

Annual CEO Forum, Beijing 2009
Ruder Finn Asia was the communications partner for the highly reputable and prestigious 2009 CEO Forum. The Forum is the leading platform for business and thought leaders to explore new developments on CEOs’ agendas n Asia, focusing on emerging strategic priorities, innovative business practices and the evolving role of the chief executive.

Chongqing Lianjiang Forum 2011, 2012

Ruder Finn Asia was the dedicated partner for two consecutive years for the high-level international Liangjiang Forum. The year 2011 marked the first anniversary of the founding of the Liangjiang New Area as well as the 14th year of the founding of Chongqing. In 2012, the three-day Forum was held in tandem with the 2012 Annual Conference of China Enterprise Confederation/China Enterprise Directors Association CEC/CEDA. Ruder Finn secured more than 150 delegates from a number of Fortune 500 companies and high-level organizations.

CSR Asia Since 2008

CSR Asia Summit Since 2010
Ruder Finn Asia is the official partner for the annual CSR Asia Summit, the leading conference on corporate social responsibility in Asia. The CSR Summit is attended and supported by many leading global companies, NGOs and academia. The event is held at a different location in Asia each year to provide local companies and organizations with a platform to build awareness of the challenges and opportunities specific to their country.

Eco Action Forum 2016

Ruder Finn Singapore was the communications partner for the 10th anniversary of Eco Action Day 2016. Eco Action Day is a national public awareness campaign organized by Ricoh since 2007, in partnership with key NGOs, government and private sector partners in Singapore. It is held on June 5th every year to commemorate World Environment Day, which seeks to raise global awareness for the need to take positive action for the environment. Ruder Finn increased awareness and outreach to corporations and individuals to drive pledges to take steps to reduce their impact on the environment.

Editions Didier Millet (EDM) Publishers Since 2013

Over Singapore 2015
RF Activation, our specially developed, fast-growing expertise, partnered with EDM Publishers of Over Singapore, an aerial photographic essay, photographed by Richard Koh and authored by Professor Tommy Koh, a leading Singapore personality. Activation identified and engaged two organizations to sponsor the publication.

Fortune China CSR Ranking  2011-2014

Ruder Finn Asia was the official partner of the Fortune China CSR Ranking, a professional and industry- recognized CSR ranking system for all leading domestic and multinational companies in China. Fortune China CSR objectives were to raise CSR awareness through active communications, develop a business aspect for CSR, provide a standard for CSR performance assessment and encourage healthy competition in social responsibility.

FT Chinese (Financial Times Chinese Language)

Towards Sustainable Cities Forum 2015
Ruder Finn Asia was the communications partner for the successful FTChinese’s “Towards Sustainable Cities Forum” in collaboration with Volvo China.  Representatives from relevant industries, academic fields and government, along with business leaders, discussed the topics of new energy, new transportation and smart transportation in the internet era. The aim was to highlight new thoughts and perspectives for sustainable transportation and the growth of cities in China and the world.

Global Alert 2015

Ruder Finn Asia signed a partnership with Global Alert, one of the world's first global environmental problem-solving platforms that enables international focus on trash pollution in our waters. Ruder Finn supported the launch of ‘Plastic Global Alert,’ an online tool developed by Ocean Recovery Alliance that helps map plastic debris hotspots on riverways, to better capture them before they reach the oceans and the “Plastic Vortex.”

Global Green Economic Forum (GGEF) 2013

Ruder Finn Asia served as the exclusive communications partner of GGEF 2013, organized by China Enterprise Confederation (CEC) and the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA). The annual event is a gathering of thought leaders from around the world to generate insights and inspire actionable solutions to empower a green economy and help build a sustainable future. The Forum also saw the inauguration of the CEC International Cooperation Advisory Board (CECICAB), comprised of global business leaders, international business experts, scholars and officials from relevant governmental departments. Jean-Michel Dumont, chairman of Ruder Finn Asia, was appointed as one of the 20 members of CECICAB, which serves as the top advisory body for CEC’s international cooperation efforts.

Heifer China Since 2015

Ruder Finn Asia is the official communications partner of Heifer China, a major international non-profit organization. In 2014, Heifer China announced a plan to help one million needy families within ten years. Heifer China will focus on developing the Pro-Poor Wealth-Creating Value Chain to help families get sustainable income and earn a livelihood through participation in environmentally preferable animal farming, product marketing and cooperative construction. Elan Shou, executive vice president and managing director of Ruder Finn Greater China sits on the advisory council of Heifer China.

China Luxury Forecast Since 2011
In 2009, Ruder Finn Asia launched the China Luxury Forecast, the annual report that provides unique insight into Chinese luxury consumers’ behavior, purchasing patterns and evolving engagement with luxury brands and their communications. The first-of-its-kind report also analyzes future trends in China’s luxury market. In 2011, Ruder Finn Asia initiated a partnership with France’s Ipsos Group, the world’s third largest market research company, to deepen its expertise and outreach into this growing market.

Physicians Digital Outlook 2014

The partners also conducted an in-depth survey and analysis of the online behavioral patterns of physicians and the evolution of social media usage across greater China and India. The survey assesses the outlook for medicine promotion and doctor-patient relationships in the digital age. The results were published in the annual Physicians Digital Outlook.

Micro-Entrepreneurship Awards 2005-2012

Since its inception in 2005 until 2010, Ruder Finn has served as the communications partner of the Annual Micro-Entrepreneurship Awards, an important, influential event on microfinance in China. The awards were established with the support of the Citi Foundation to recognize the efforts of micro-entrepreneurs’ climb out of poverty. The Micro-Entrepreneurship Awards program was a partnership between Citibank (China) and the China Banking Association.

MTV EXIT 2009

Ruder Finn Asia helped gain awareness for critical messages on human trafficking and exploitation in Asia by supporting the launch of a hard-hitting anime feature, “Intersection,” which is part of a series of MTV EXIT television programming that examines human trafficking and sexual exploitation in Asia.

Pinacothèque de Paris 2013

RF Activation partnered with Pinacothèque de Paris, the most prestigious private museum in France, to launch its first exhibition, “The Art of Collecting: Masterpieces from the Pinacothèque,” in Singapore. This offered the first exciting glimpse of the museum’s presence before its permanent establishment in 2015. RF Activation garnered Air France as a sponsor and arranged an exclusive private event for Cartier. 

The Philadelphia Orchestra

China Residency and Tour of Asia. Since 2014
Ruder Finn Asia has served as The Philadelphia Orchestra’s official communications partner since 2014 for their China Residency and Tour of Asia. In 2011, The Orchestra signed a historic five-year agreement with the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing to develop a pilot partnership that was jointly designed to unite The Orchestra members with talented young Chinese musicians and develop their skills to be orchestral players. It was also designed to bring orchestral music to China’s major cities and provinces. The multicity tour consists of multiple concerts, small pop-up performances at important cultural sites, master classes, lectures and community outreach visits.

Roll Back Malaria (RBM) 2013

Ruder Finn Asia partnered with Roll Back Malaria (RBM), a high-profile global organization for its initiative against malaria in Asia. RBM, founded in 1998 by UNICEF, WHO, UNDP and the World Bank, wanted to focus on Asia and accelerate efforts to defeat malaria in the region. Ruder Finn helped to launch the organization during the World Health Summit, Regional Meeting - Asia (WHSRMA) in Singapore.

TEDxWanchai Since 2015

Ruder Finn Asia is the official communications partner of TEDxWanchai, one of Hong Kong's most established TEDx communities. Building on the legacy of TED (Technology - Education - Design), independently organised TEDxWanChai promotes innovation and intellectual dialogue in Hong Kong by inviting thought leaders and experts in their own fields to share "Ideas Worth Spreading." Joining sponsors including Deutsche Bank, Thomson Reuters and The Women's Foundation, Ruder Finn brought expertise in communications, digital marketing and stakeholder engagement to support ongoing marketing activities. Two primary events in 2015 were TEDxWanchai Women and TEDxWanchai Main Stage.

The Body Shop 2009, 2010

Ruder Finn Asia teamed up with The Body Shop Singapore for two consecutive years on a campaign of global importance—sex trafficking of children and young people. The STOP campaign (Stop Sex Trafficking of Children and Young People), is part of a global The Body Shop initiative. Working in partnership with ECPAT (End Child Prostitution, Child Pornography and the Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes) International, this campaign aims to raise awareness and inspire long-term change to stop the abuse of children and young people. The campaign, which took place in 66 countries, was cited by former United States President Bill Clinton at the fifth Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting in 2009 as “an exemplary approach to addressing a specific global challenge.”

The Dummy Series Since 2013

RF Activation partnered with the publisher of the “For Dummies” series to offer innovative ways to incorporate internal and external communication throughout an organization. 'For Dummies' is one of the most widely recognized and highly regarded reference series in the world, with more than 200 million books in print that cover more than 1,500 topics. These unique educational tools provide clients with another communications channel besides the media.

The Economist

‘The World In …” Gala Dinners 2012
Ruder Finn Asia partnered with The Economist for the exclusive and highly anticipated ‘The World in ...’ gala dinners in Hong Kong and Singapore. The year 2012 marked the first time the event was launched in Singapore. ‘The World in … ‘ Gala Dinner series, inspired by the The World In … publication, is held annually in major cities around the world.

Healthcare in China 2012

Ruder Finn Asia also partnered with The Economist for the “Healthcare in China 2012” Summit in Beijing. This was the first time Economist conferences organized a country-specific regional summit, this one dedicated to China. The highly successful conference, attended by government officials, hospital heads, industry leaders, as well as academic experts, provided an opportunity for open dialogue concerning viable solutions that can help address China’s healthcare needs and challenges.

The Media Alliance Since 2011

Ruder Finn Asia and The Media Alliance signed a partnership agreement to help increase and improve communications and message dissemination through media on a wide range of issues covering social and sustainable economic development in the Asia-Pacific region. Ruder Finn Asia and The Media Alliance also cooperate on helping to improve the quality, quantity and effectiveness of editorial coverage and social awareness campaigns designed to influence public opinion and achieve positive behavior change. 

Media Leaders’ Forum, Singapore 2011

The Media Alliance hosted the Media Leaders’ Forum on corporate social responsibility and climate change as part of the opening activities of the three-day Asia Television Forum (ATF) 2011 in Singapore, The event, coinciding with the 2011 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP17) in Durban, South Africa, discussed the role and responsibility of media companies in affecting positive social action and behavior change on issues relating to climate change.

Trust Forum Asia, Singapore 2016

Ruder Finn was the official partner of Trust Forum Asia, a brand event dedicated to fighting human trafficking and advancing women's rights across Asia. A global event hosted annually by the Thomson Reuters Foundation in London, the event brings together the region's most influential business and thought leaders, from corporate CEOs to human rights advocates, to media leaders and award-winning lawyers.

Tsinghua University

Tsinghua - Ruder Finn CSR Five-Year Program 2008-2012
The Tsinghua-Ruder Finn CSR Program was established in 2008 as a ground-breaking partnership between the Beijing’s prestigious Tsinghua University and Ruder Finn Asia to build an effective communications platform involving government, NGOs and business sectors. The program included academic and research activities, CSR leadership training, theme lectures delivered by CEOs from Global 500 enterprises, high-level discussions and dialogues between executives from well-known Chinese and foreign enterprises and officials from relevant government department agencies.

CSR Index Report (Four Editions 2009-2012)

Ruder Finn Asia and Tsinghua University jointly launched the CSR Index Report for the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and automobile industries, a consumer-oriented CSR evaluation based on a survey of consumers across China. The consumer perspectives proved to be a revelation and a powerful tool to encourage more enterprises to actively participate in CSR initiatives.

The Tsinghua-Ruder Finn CSR Leadership Initiative

Another significant program aspect was the CSR Leadership Initiative, which aimed at strengthening academic debate and business practices in the CSR field, as well as creating an understanding of the concerns and responsibilities of corporations' senior managers in establishing and strengthening CSR values within their companies.

World Knowledge Forum 2013

Ruder Finn Asia served as the communications partner for the World Knowledge Forum 2013 in Seoul, Korea, organized by the Maekyung Media Group, one the most powerful media corporations in Korea. Ruder Finn Asia’s Chairman Jean-Michel Dumont was invited as a guest panellist to discuss “Insights into Luxury Strategy and Luxury Brands.” RF Activation also secured the cofounder, chairman and CEO of International SOS, the world’s leading medical and travel security services company, as a one of the speakers.
