Attracting visitors to the U.S, Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands

Ruder Finn's is the representative of the Marianas Visitors Authority (MVA) in the key Chinese cities of Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Hong Kong. Ruder Finn is developing brand awareness and building support amongst the key target audience and the travel trade with the clear aim of driving tourist traffic to the U.S. Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands consisting of the three main islands of Saipan, Tinian and Rota. Ruder Finn is maximizing exposure of the CNMI through a multi-faceted approach combining an aggressive public relations campaign, familiarization trip organization, promotions, editorial and advertorial placement, website management, on line promotions and a trade outreach program including regular trade contact, joint promotions and trade show participation. In the first full fiscal year Ruder Finn has been representing the MVA, visitor arrivals have increased 11% and there has been a marked increase in calls to the MVA hotlines from media, trade and consumers indicating a substantial rise in awareness of the Northern Mariana Islands in Greater China.
